Norah's Nursery

Norah's Nursery

Norah's nursery is my new favorite room in the house - it's crisp but cozy, feels eclectic enough to fit in our house but sweet enough to belong to the tiniest one. We started the room gender neutral and then when she arrived, we added little accents of pink to "girl-up" the space a bit ... who can say no to a pink fur stool?

The crib, chair, dresser and side table were all passed down from the other kid's nurseries and not only do I love having those memories, but it keeps me challenged to re-create.

There's so many pieces in this room that I seriously adore and I'm having a hard time not shopping this room for the rest of the house. We kept the paint color from Winnie's Nursery , but took off the vinyl dots. I used the circuit again and did small white crosses, to add a bit of dimension and interest on that big wall.

Before we knew gender, we waited to add a footstool, some pillows in the crib and of course some little lovies. Our friends at Bla Bla sent that adorable apple pillow that I'm obsessed with. The kids constantly steal it from her crib and try to use it for every doll in the house.

I did a DIY for the flag wall hanging and just used heat transfer paper on canvas with my heat press. I cut the canvas, glued it around a wooden down and tied a string to hang. Super simple!

We also switched out the knobs for the dresser, just to change things up. These are off of Amazon and seriously make such a big impact for such a small cost.

I think the biggest impact in this room is this rug, which is the first thing I got for the Nursery. Lorena Canal so generously sent us this rug ( and that amazing cross pillow) and I can not say enough about their products. You guys ready for this..? This rug is MACHINE WASHABLE. Yes, that means baby barf, poop, coffee (that is always spilled on those early mornings), diet coke (that I'm downing at nap time) and of course ice cream (post-dinner nursing sesh) will all wash right out of this rug. Best.. Ever. It's SO soft, the kids love to lay on it and I really love it. :)

I think this nursery fits our sweet mellow Norah just perfectly and it is without question a space that I love relaxing in.
