Palm Springs Getaway

Palm Springs Getaway

Last weekend, Collin and I took our first (and probably last! for at least a few years!) adult only vacation. We knew that we’d have to squeeze this in before having a 5th if we ever wanted it to happen, so we booked it and off we went.

Palm Springs is one of our favorite places to take the kids, but we love it just as much, if not more than they do! It feels tropical and resort-is without having to fly too far, has the modern conveniences of Target & Whole Foods, and the weather is hard to beat.

We stayed at the Omni Las Palmas in Rancho Mirage, which was just gorgeous. The hotel had SO many amenities, gorgeous scenery and was in a really central location.

I’m not going to lie, it took us a solid 24 hours to figure out what the hell we were supposed to do without a gang of kids following us everywhere. I’m almost never alone - maybe for an hour here or there if I’m getting my nails or lashes done, or squeezing in work. But to have uninterrupted time with no possible invasions was so strange. By the second day, we found our flow and sat by the pool for a solid 4 hours and didn’t barely say a word. GOLDEN SILENCE, you guys! I’d tell you all the things we did, but there’s nothing to tell you. We sat by the pool, ate a lot of food, went to the spa and watched a few movies. It was beyond relaxing, and really refreshed me. I came home ready to jump back in to the chaos!
